I know this is *really* late, but I was tagged by Connie and Lisa, and since it’s been a while, I figured it was time to share some more random facts about me. Lisa’s tag actually only required six random facts, but I figured I’d combine them.

1. Link to the person who tagged you.
2. Share 7 random and/or weird facts about you.
3. Tag 7 random people at the end, and include links to their blogs.
4. Let each person know they’ve been tagged by leaving a comment on their blogs.

Here it goes…
1. I love filling out forms. I get excited about going to a new doctor’s office or other such place because I know there will be lots of paperwork to fill out. I know, I’m a dork.

2. I *hate* cheese, but I love Kraft macaroni and cheese (the only macaroni and cheese I will eat) and nacho cheese.

3. I am addicted to collecting logo pens. I get one from every business I can. I hit the jackpot when our Chamber of Commerce held a business expo last week — Joe came home with the motherload of logo pens.

4. I am extremely shy. I don’t talk to people I know, and I tend to hang back when in a crowd or at a party. Most people think it’s odd that I’m in a profession that requires to me to talk to and interview people on a regular basis.

5. I always sit on specific side of a table when we go out to eat.

6. I have to sit in a booth when I go out to eat. I am more than willing to wait if only tables are available.

7. I buy soaps and shower gels based on the seasons. Right now, it’s a cinnamon pumpkin overload in my house.

I am tagging Joe, Liz, Princess Extraordinaire, Casey, Sara, Shannon and Mandy.

NaBloPoMo Begins

It’s November 1, and that’s means it’s the beginning of NaBloPoMo. NaBloPoMo now occurs every month, each with a different theme, but since November is the original month I decided that’s when I would do it each year. Let’s hope I can find something to talk about every day! November is always tricky because of Thanksgiving. We go to both of our parents’ houses each year, so finding a way to blog at my in-laws’ cabin could be difficult. Do any of you plan to participate in NaBloPoMo?

Debit Versus Credit

While browsing around today on Forum Finder, I stumbled upon a new blog called Debit Versus Credit. Now, I’m not one to read financial blogs mainly because a lot of them are quite over my head. I’m not good with numbers and math (that’s why I’m a writer), and economic blogs are not my cup of tea. This blog, however, is different. It’s written in a way that anyone can understand it, and it’s really been quite interesting to read so far. Sure, some of the topics posted I already know about, but others are new to me, and learning new ways to manage my finances is always of interest to me, especially with the economy going south as it has been lately.

Weekly Winners: The On the Road Edition

These are a few of my favorite pictures from our road trip to Ohio. I’ll have more to share next week, especially after our drive through Amish country today!!

Thanks, Ike.

Weekly Winners

This my first time participating in Weekly Winners, but I think it will be a fun challenge. And, it will be a great way for me to make sure I take some pictures every week. I find that many weeks I don’t take any pictures because Joe is the main photographer in our family. Guess I’ll have to fight him for it. It’s a good thing we have two cameras!

“Stop! Don’t shoot!”

“He went that way.”

Food Network Blog Contest

I love contests. I have yet to win a blog contest, but I enter them pretty often. I love the contests over at My Wooden Spoon. Lori always has such awesome prizes, and this time the prize is really cool — a Food Network prize pack that includes a Food Network cookbook, a Food Network apron, a barbecue tool set and margarita glasses! I’m so excited about this contest. This is one that I *really* hope I win. I *love* the Food Network. So if you’re interested in this as well, head on over!
