PlayStation Move

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of PlayStation MOVE. All opinions are 100% mine.

My husband loves video games. He could sit for hours and play his action games. I, on the other hand, am more picky about what I play. I only like certain games (Super Mario Brothers, anyone?), and I can only play for a certain amount of time before I get bored and have to move on.

We got a Wii a few years ago, and that’s the one system we have that I love to play. I love the old school games, and I love all the sports games you can play with the various controllers. Now, PlayStation has come out with a system similar to the Wii, the PlayStation Move, which is actually supposed to be different than the Wii in that it offers the most immersive and realistic gaming experience. Joe loves the PlayStation consoles, and I’m sure this is one he’ll want to try.

There are a variety of games for the Move, which is the way to go with game consoles so that there is something for everyone to enjoy, and my favorites are the sports games. They’re definitely fun to play with the various controllers, and they can be a great way to get some exercise in. And, if you already have a PlayStation 3, you can bring motion gaming exclusively to your console with the Move bundle package for only $99.

Do you have a video game lover in your house? Have you heard of the PlayStation Move, and is it something you’d want to try?

Fall Fashion Clearance

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Liz Claiborne New York Outlets. All opinions are 100% mine.

I love looking at the new fashions in magazines and online. Sure, some of them are definitely not my style, but others are, and I find myself dreaming of the day when I will be able to wear cute clothes again. Hopefully, that will be sooner rather than later. I love the cute, form fitting sweaters, and pairing those with cute skirts and knee high boots. That’s definitely my kind of fall fashion!

Of course, a lot of the fashions are way out of my price range, as I’m sure they are for a lot of people. I definitely cannot afford to dress the way that celebrities and other famous people do. But, guess what! Liz Claiborne New York Outlets are selling all their inventory at discounts of 40-70 percent! That’s my kind of deal, as I never pay full price for clothes. čÖé

Lucky for me, we have a Liz Claiborne New York Outlet store at an outlet mall fairly close to our house. I love shopping there, and I’ll definitely be hitting up the stores this fall for clothes for me and Lucy.

So, what about you? What’s your favorite fall outfit? If you could buy any of the fall fashions this year, what would you get?

Boost Mobile

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Boost Mobile. All opinions are 100% mine.

I really hate my current cell phone provider. We have had nothing but trouble with the company — from extra charges on our bills to horrible customer service representatives — and I would like nothing more than to switch to a different provider.

However, I have an iPhone, which leaves me without a lot of options when it comes to service providers. Currently, there is only one provider that offers the iPhone, though a second may be coming on board soon. If I didn’t love all the app options on the iPhone, I probably would switch over to a Blackberry, which would give me more options. Sure, I’d lose the touch screen and the app options, but I’d still be able to check Facebook and Twitter, which is what I do a LOT of on my phone. I love being able to access social media from my phone!

Speaking of options for cell phone providers, have any of you ever heard of Boost Mobile I hadn’t, but after doing some looking, I found that they have unlimited plans for Blackberries for $60 a month, which is insane. It’s MUCH lower than what I pay every month for my unlimited plan for my iPhone. You also have three options to pay your bill — online, in-person or over the phone — and you can sign up for automatic payments so you don’t have to worry about remembering to pay your bill every month. And, you can add money to your account through the Re-Boost program.

Are you happy with your cell phone provider, or would you like to switch like I would?

On Wanting to Work at Home

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of All opinions are 100% mine.

Ever since Lucy was born I’ve wanted to stay home with her. Actually, that desire started before Lucy was born while I was still pregnant. I’ve always loved what I do (nothing is more exciting than being a journalist!), but I REALLY miss Lucy when I’m at work. I thought it would get easier as the weeks and months went by, but it really hasn’t.

I would love to be able to work at home. That way, I can be a stay-at-home mom but still contribute to our family’s income. It’s hard to find legitimate work at home jobs, though. Enter, one of the oldest and largest sources of work-at-home jobs. It’s a work at home jobs community that not only includes job listings but a work at home forum as well. There are more than 30,000 jobs listed daily, and I’ve already found several writing/blogging jobs I’m interested in. Getting one of these jobs would definitely be an answer to my prayers!

I know some of you work from home. Any tips or other websites you can pass along??

Florida Vacation

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Kissimmee Tourism. All opinions are 100% mine.

I think it’s time to start planning our first Florida vacation as a family. I want to take Lucy to Disney World, and I think next year she will probably be at a pretty good age to hit up “The Happiest Place on Earth”. I haven’t been to Disney World since I was very young (so young, in fact, that I hardly remember the trip), so I can’t wait to go back myself.

However, I can pretty much assure you that we will NOT be going next summer. Summer is hot enough here in Georgia. I can’t imagine how bad the heat is in Florida. I’m thinking more of an early fall trip, sometime before baseball season ends so we can hit up the Tampa Bay Rays stadium, which isn’t too bad of a drive from Orlando.

What do I want to do on our vacation? Well, obviously, we’ll be hitting up Disney World and its related theme parks for the munchkin and, as I mentioned, also make it to a baseball game so we can mark one more stadium off our list.

Although there are plenty of hotels near Disney World, I’d like to stay nearby in Kissimmee. There are plenty of things to do there besides Disney World, such as Gatorland, the alligator capitol of the world, as well as dinner shows, miniature golf and hot air balloon rides. This definitely would have to be a repeat trip because I know Lucy will enjoy it more and more as she gets older.

Have any of you ever been to the Kissimmee/Orlando area? Besides Disney World, what were your favorite things to do?

Win a Trip to Memphis!

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Memphis Travel. All opinions are 100% mine.

One place I’ve wanted to visit but haven’t had a chance to yet is Memphis. You would think that I would have made it up there since my family has lived in Chattanooga, which isn’t *too* far away, for 16 years now. But, I haven’t. So, I think it’s time that the hubby and I take a kid-free trip up north.

Obviously, one of the places we would want to go see is Graceland. I’m not a huge Elvis fan, but you can’t go to Memphis and *not* go to Graceland.

The living room at Graceland

I didn’t even have to check out a Memphis-savvy travel guide to come up with that! I also want to go to Beale Street. I’ve heard quite a bit about this area as part of Memphis night life, and it would be a fun night out on the town for me and the husband.

Now, you can enter to win a trip package to Memphis that includes one of four prize packages — family, couple, single, and single and friends. I’d like to win the couples package, which includes a carriage ride, trips to sun studios and the Orpheum Theater, accommodations at the Peabody Hotel and dinner at the Majestic Grille. I think it would be a fun weekend away.

Have any of you been to Memphis before? If so, what did you see? If not, do you want to go to Memphis and what would you want to see there? Are you going to try to win one of these prize packages, and if so, which one?
