Paint Choices

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Glidden. All opinions are 100% mine.

We have some plans to paint! We are going to paint our kitchen and living room. And, when we get our new couch, our living room will look completely different and SO much better.

We’ve decided on some kind of sunny yellow for the kitchen and are thinking we most likely will go with a sage green for the living room. I still haven’t picked the exact shade for either room. It’s a big decision. I don’t want to have to re-paint because we picked the wrong shade.

Thank goodness for paint testers. For just a couple of dollars, you can buy a small container of paint to test the shade. How did I not know these were available?? I’m thinking I want to go with Glidden paint. I was SO impressed with them when I picked a shade off their website for Lucy’s room and it turned out to be the PERFECT shade of green. And, Glidden’s testers are awesome because they have a brush on the lid, which means I don’t have to buy a separate brush.

Another great aspect about Glidden is that you can see how a color will look in a room online by using the company’s room painter. I love being able to do this from home. Check it out here!

Now, I just need to pick a final color and get this painting party started!

On Wearing Watches

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Victorinox Swiss Army. All opinions are 100% mine.

I don’t wear a watch very often. I have several watches that I love, but I just never seem to remember to put one on in the morning before I leave the house. And, it’s just as easy for me to pull out my cell phone to check the time as it is to check my watch.

My husband, on the other hand, NEVER leaves the house without a watch on. It’s like he feels naked without one. He has a couple of watches — a Fossil watch I bought him for Hanukkah one year, a running watch and a watch he received as a gift for being in his friend’s wedding.

One of these days, I’d like to get him a really nice watch, like one of the Victorinox Swiss Army watches. This one is my favorite:

I like the metal bands much more than the leather/fabric bands. I think they look classier and dressier. Like this watch? Check out the Facebook IWAW sweepstakes page for a chance to win one. They are giving away one watch a day for 30 days!

Do you wear a watch? Does your hubby? Or are you more of a cell phone user when it comes to telling time?

Come up with your Most Creative Softball Team Name

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Softball Rampage. All opinions are 100% mine.

Are you creative, or do you have a good sense of humor? Softball Rampage is looking for people to come up with their funniest, most clever softball team names. All you have to do is come up with your most creative name, go to Softball Rampage‘s blog and enter your name in the comments section. The person who comes up with the best name will win $200 in RampageBucks Rewards, which can be used on the company’s website for items such as softball bats, gloves and other softball gear.

It’s a good thing I have a really creative husband. I’m pretty sure he could come up with an awesome name that would have a great shot at winning this contest. The prize is pretty awesome, too. It would be fun to be able to buy a bunch of sports equipment. I used to love playing softball, and it would be fun to get back into it.

So, what about you? How creative are you? What’s the best name you can come up with, and do you think you’ll enter this contest? What kind of sports are you into, and what kind of equipment would you get if you won the prize?

Update your Maps!

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of NAVTEQ. All opinions are 100% mine.

There are times that I really wish I had a GPS unit in my car. Now that I’m involved in a play group, Lucy and I spend more time than before in the car, and we’re always going to locations that are new to us. I got a little lost going to one of the last parks, and while my cell phone has a map on it, it’s hard to look at that while I’m trying to job. That’s where a GPS would come in handy. I really think I need one, since I’m prone to getting lost. I’m planning on getting a new car once we get Joe’s car paid off (since my little Mustang is a bit too small for my munchkin’s car seat), and I’m hoping it includes a GPS unit. Surely new cars now come with them, right?

For those of you who do use GPS, it’s time to update your maps! I’m sure that’s something that needs to be done fairly reguarly, as new streets and neighborhoods are constantly being built. There are several under construction in my area.

Updating is pretty easy. All you have to do is go to and follow the drop down menus that correspond to your built-in system or portable device. Again, that website is

Earn Money for Checking In at Your Favorite Places

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.

ChopsI love finding ways to earn little bits of supplemental income. My Paypal account is my “fun” account, which I can use to buy things without guilt or save to use for holiday gifts later in the year. I love seeing my Paypal balance increase!

One of the main ways I earn extra cash is from paid blogging, but now Izea, the company that runs some of my favorite paid blogging sites, has created an iPhone app called “WeReward” that you can use to earn money for actions you take in the real world. According to, users can complete a Sponsored Checkin, which enables them to earn money for making purchases at local businesses. You get a penny for every point you earn, and you can cash out to Paypal when you earn 1,000 points. It also integrates Facebook, Twitter and Foursquare, through which you can share your experiences. For those of you who don’t have iPhones or an iPod touch, here’s a video to show you what it’s all about.

I’m going to Download the App, and I’m excited to start using this and see what it’s all about. I’m all about getting rewarded for purchases I’m going to make anyway!

Freschetta Rolls Out New FlatBread Pizza

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Freschetta. All opinions are 100% mine.

We are big fans of frozen pizza. It’s our usual Sunday night meal, which we usually round out with a big salad — it’s good, it’s quick and it’s a great way to end the weekend in our book.

We typically are brand-loyal when it comes to frozen pizza, but one kind I’ve been wanting to try is the new Freschetta FlatBread pizza. I love flatbread, and I love pizza, so to me, this sounds like a winning combination. It’s a thin crust pizza and is supposed to be very crisp. Yum! I think thin crust pizzas have fewer calories, too, which is another plus. Since I’m a vegetarian, I’d probably try the 5-cheese pizza, but I know Joe would love to try the Zesty Italian. He loves all the meats and cheeses! Their other varieties are Zesty Garlic and Spinach, and Pepperoni.

For those of you who, like me, are coupon clippers, Freschetta has a coupon on their website for $1 your purchase of a FlatBread pizza. Just head on over to
