Review: Limited Edition Chapstick

A couple of weeks ago, it got pretty cold here in Georgia. I mean, we had frost in the morning and everything. And, with the cold weather came chapped lips, which happens to me every winter. I always lick my lips when they chap, which makes them even worse. It’s a vicious cycle.

I didn’t have any Chapstick on hand but, luckily, the nice people at Pfizer Consumer Healthcare sent me three of their limited edition holiday varities to try and I happened to get them right when the cold snap hit. What luck!

I was SO eager to try them and, oh my gosh, I LOVE them. I was sent Apple Cider, Chocolate Truffle and Candy Cane and, honestly, I can’t pick a favorite. I love them all. Lucy loves them too, especially the Chocolate Truffle!

The limited edition Chapstick varities, which are available in the cough and cold aisle of grocery stores and mass retailers, feature a convenient gift tag on the back of each package to take the hassle out of gift wrapping, making it easy to drop into a stocking or attach on top of a gift.

It’s supposed to get cold here again next week (it’s about time since it will be mid-December), so I’m really glad I have these Chapsticks on hand! I put one in the purses I rotate through regularly so I always have one with me. 🙂

Which limited edition variety do you want to try??

Toddle Along Tuesday – Mom Confessions

Secrets. We all have them. Today, it’s time to be real and confess some of them. So…here we go!

  • I don’t shower every day. Sometimes I go a couple of days without. If my hair’s not oily, it’s all good!
  • I let my daughter watch TV. Sometimes a lot of TV. Let the judgment begin.
  • I hardly ever wear makeup yet I can’t stop buying it. One of these days I’ll get my act together.
  • If I’m at home, I’m in sweats or pajamas. The only exception is if we have company over. And, I’m proud to say, Lucy is becoming the same way.
  • I only breastfed for a couple of weeks. I didn’t enjoy it, and I’m not embarrassed to say it. And, no, feeding my daughter formula does NOT make me a bad mom.
  • Sometimes, Joe and I have “snacky” foods for dinner — frozen pretzels, chips and salsa, stove-top popcorn, etc.
  • I love Christmas trees but I hate decorating them. I particularly hate putting on the lights.
  • I never decorate my house for the seasons; Christmas is the only exception.
  • Before last year, I hadn’t been to the dentist since high school. Yeah. Good news – my teeth weren’t too bad!
  • Sometimes I feel like a bad mom because I want to veg out and just watch TV.

OK, everyone. Now, it’s YOUR turn! I know you have secrets, too. Spill!

Family Pictures

We had family pictures taken today. My hubby does photography on the side, and I always pick out poses that I like, so we hit up a park today and has some fun. Unfortunately, we didn’t have our DSLR camera because we need to order a new piece for it, but I think they turned out pretty well considering we just had my point-and-shoot.

If you have been searching high and low for Dallas Cowboys baby clothes, you may be able to find exactly what you have been looking for on! Out of the hundreds of other websites I have browsed, this site has the biggest product selection as well as a wide range of sizes and styles. I ordered a few items for my nephew and they were shipped quickly. I was impressed with the quality of the clothes and logos. has both casual, everyday clothing items as well as specialty items such as jerseys and caps. If you’re looking for baby girl Cowboys clothing, there’s a huge selection of girl items that includes cheerleader outfits, bows, headbands, and dresses. They even have Dallas Cowboys baby furniture to complete the nursery! Their baby items would also make great baby shower gifts, especially if Daddy is a Cowboys fan. There are many baby items to choose from, including bibs, blankets, pacifiers, bottles, booties, and so much more. They also offer gift certificates for those who may want to purchase their own Cowboys items. All in all, my experience with has been the best, and I will certainly be buying from them again soon!

Taking Cancer Cures to the People

If you want to have a personal and direct role in curing cancer, you can donate to cancer research at a website called This website connects ordinary people who want to fund research with real clinical research projects. Each project has its own page on the site with a summary of the project and a short video from the lead researcher personally describing the work. Funders do not have to worry about the quality of the research they would be supporting. Researchers who wish to post a project to the site are required to demonstrate that they have or have applied for National Institutes of Health (NIH) funding. Donors to each project form a community of support for the project and each other, by participating in the cureLauncher discussion page and through social media. The site is fully hooked up with social media so donors and researchers can post information on the funding project to friends, family and followers. As project supporters, donors are connected to ongoing updates about the project. Unless something is done about the fiscal cliff, 2013 will see an immediate cut of 2.5 billion in NIH government funding. Direct support by caring individuals through will be even more urgently needed to fund the fight against cancer.
