Show Us Your Life ~ Favorite Pinterest Ideas

I never thought I’d become obsessed with Pinterest. But, I am. I have found SO many cute ideas for decor, parties, etc, and I could spend hours pinning to my boards if I had the time.

Here are a few of my favorite Pinterest finds:

organizing kid stuff for trips

I love this idea as a way to organize items for your kids for a trip!

coffee table bookcase

I love this shelving unit made from a coffee table and bookcase. If we had more time on our hands, this would be a fun project to do!

calendar blocks

I seriously love this project, and I don’t think it would be super hard. It would look so cute on the accent table in our living room!

yarn wrap wreath

This looks super easy too – just yarn wrap a frame and hang your initial in the center!

window memo board

I actually bought a couple of old window panes off a garage sale Facebook page to do a project like this! I can’t wait to actually get started on it!

Weekly Totals ~ 3/22

So…I had $1 in my wallet on Wednesday to shop. Seriously. We were out of town over the weekend (in a real ritzy, expensive area of Atlanta), so we spent WAY too much money. Anyway. So, I wanted to shop the sale that started Wednesday but wanted to keep it to $1 or less.

Impossible, right? Nope! My total was $0.62. Yes, 62 CENTS! I was pretty excited, and the manager who bagged my groceries was pretty impressed.

Here’s what I got:

Dole Pinapple Chunks = $0.75
Maybelline Eye Shadows x 2 = -$1.02
Bird’s Eye Steamfresh Chef’s Favorites = $0.22
Duncan Hines Frosting Creations x 2 = -$0.02
Duncan Hines Red Velvet Cake Mix x 2 = -$0.17
Lysol Trigger Spray = $0.85
Lysol Toilet Bowl Cleaner = $0.65
Alexia Frozen Rolls = -$0.85
Publix Sandwich Cookies = $0.01

Total retail: $24.98
Total OOP: $0.62
Savings: 98%

Week in Phone Pics ~ 11/52

We had a less busy week than usual, but that didn’t mean it was any less fun!

This week we:

  • celebrated my Grandpa on the first anniversary of his death with his favorites – root beer and chinese food
  • drank a milkshake
  • practiced driving
  • read books at Publix
  • crossed the finish line with Daddy at his 12-HOUR race (yes, hour – more on that in another post!)
  • and spent the night at a hotel!

Week in Phone Pics ~ 10/52

So…it’s been a few weeks since I’ve done this. Sigh. I have been so incredibly busy with some new VA work and spending time with the kiddo (more on all that later). Hopefully, I won’t miss any more week!

Last week we:

  • Dressed up like Ariel
  • Snuggled with AJ
  • Did a jigsaw puzzle
  • Had a lunch date with Mommy
  • Threw pennies into the fountain at the mall
  • Went out to dinner with Mommy and Daddy
  • Made leaf angels
  • Went to church (and insisted on pics as we left)
  • And, drew with chalk.

We also:

  • Played at McDonald’s (and had to wear their ridiculously big socks since we forgot ours)
  • Visited Lucy’s great-grandmother in the hospital
  • Played at the park
  • And, made Kool-Aid!
