marriage

sometimes i miss dating. i read blog entries about first dates or hear girls talk about their boyfriends on the radio, and i miss the excitement and the anticipation of dating.

then, i have nights like tonight, when i shared a quick snack with my husband after work before i headed to the meeting i had to cover, and i realize just how much i love being married and having someone to come home to every night. i wouldn’t have it any other way.

I never really dated… so I never saw the big deal about dating and such lol… it sounds way to stressful for me… so I am happy for being old and married lol…

Aw. You know, I’ve never missed it for a second. As soon as I was married, I knew it was where I was supposed to be. Like Shannon says, I love being old and married. 😉
I still sometimes tell K, “I waited four years, keeping a phone under my pillow and having to say goodbye to your voice every night.” I will never forget that and I still appreciate being able to sleep next to him. 🙂
(Now if only having a baby was that easy for me!)

I get the best of both worlds – date night once a week! BUT it’s nice b/c no “nervousness or anticipation” just yummy dinner and peace and quiet!

  5. trust me – as much as i enjoy dating, i wish i had someone to come home to every night. the grass is always greener… or so they say!

I hear ya. I used to have so many great dating stories! Most of dating was bad, but it was often very funny! But, I like AS way too much to ever go back, even though I’m much more boring now.

Ugh, I do NOT miss dating. Perhaps it is my location but being surrounded by women who look like living Barbie dolls made it hard to find a genuine person. You wonder if they’ll call, you question your “status” in their life. Having to introduce someone to your entire crew and family. Shared disappointment when it doesn’t work out. I could go on for days so I’d better stop myself now, lol. For me, dating was a necessary evil!
