We thought Lucy might have been ready to come last week and were pretty disappointed when she didn’t. Sure, we want her to stay in until at least 38 weeks, but it was hard to get our hopes up that it might be time to meet her. Since Thursday, the contractions seemed to have gone away.
Then, yesterday, I think I might have lost part of my mucous plug or had bloody show. I say might because I’ve never gone through this before, and I don’t want to think something is happening and be completely wrong. But, I noticed some snot-like mucous with blood in it. It was a quarter-sized amount, and that’s all I’ve seen. The day before, I did have a bit of bright red spotting, which I’ve read could be from dilation (here’s hoping!). Last night, I was up most of the night with contractions, and I’ve had them periodically today. I’m hoping it *was* part of my mucous plug and that labor may not be too far away. What do you all think? Did any of you experience this?

yeah!!! that sounds like mucus plug- you guys are CLOSE! I lost mine in two parts (I heard it can grow back?) but I had Amelia within 2 weeks of losing it the first time.
I lost my mucus plug with Lucas. It didn’t look like mucus, though ~ it was just like a big ball of blood (sorry to be gross!). I had Lucas three days later!
Lost mine and went into labor the next day when my water broke. You’re getting close!!
I lost mine and got so excited I yelled for my husband to c’mere…little did I know my 12 year old was with him…still not sure if I warped him or not.

I think you’re getting close. My water broke with both girls before much of anything happened, so I don’t really know about the mucus plug, but I’ve heard that once it’s out, it’s coming really soon. Yay!
That sounds like exactly what it was!! That’s exactly how I did w/all 3 of my pregnancies! YAY, Lucy will be here soon
