we’ve all been told we need to drink eight 8-ounce glasses of water a day. i know i always fall short and can usually only drink 4-5 glasses. but, now it seems that eight glasses could be too much. according to an article in snopes, people typically lose about 10 glasses worth of water a day but get 4 glasses worth for food, leaving 6 glasses left to drink. the article quotes a kidney physiologist as saying that most people could cover the bare minimum of water needs just through food. i feel better now about not being able to get the full 8 glasses in a day.

I actually probably do drink eight glasses of water per day. I always have a bottle of water with me. However, I do this only b/c I’m constantly thirsty, not because any expert ever said it was the best thing to do.
Weight watchers asks that you drink 6 cups of water/day.. and three of those HAVE to be water, the other three can be beverages that can be counted as a water, like caffeine free pop and caffeine free coffee!

I’m so glad to hear that. I’ve never been a big water drinker. It’s slightly easier now since I’ve been nursing Ava, but I honestly don’t like water. I struggled to get in lots of water during pregnancy. I’ve always hated that 8 glasses a day rule cause I never make it!
