I’m not the best at remembering to get the oil changed in my car. I try to get it done regularly, but I have been known to let it go a ways past the next service date. I know how important it is to have your oil changed on time. According to motoroilmatters.com, changing your oil regularly extends the life of your engine, and removes harmful contaminents and dirt that have collected in the oil.
Oil changes also can be pretty expensive. One of you guys will win a $35 gift card to Jiffy Lube for an oil change or any other service you need. What a great prize, especially with the current economy!
What you win:
How to enter:
1. Leave a comment telling me how often you REALLY get YOUR oil changed. 🙂

My husband is really good about changing the oil every 3,500 miles.

Um, I get my oil changed once the Party Van starts acting wonky. About every 4500 miles or so? Such a PITA. 🙂
OMG ~ I *so* need to get my oil changed like NOW!!! It’s *way* overdue! I always go to Jiffy Lube. I seriously need to change my oil every 3,000 miles, but it’s more like 7,000 miles! LOL! 🙂
My car suggests that I get my oil changed when the oil has 15% life left in it, whatever that means. Owners’ manual suggests that I change it then instead of based on miles. The message takes over the majority of my digital dashboard screen, which annoys me, so I rarely go more than a few days after that message pops up.
Every 3,000 miles. I might go a bit over, but in my opinion, changing your oil every 3,000 miles is the most imporatant thing you can do for your vehicle. I know people that never think to get an oil change, but will go to the car wash once a week. I think they are crazy!
probably twice a year..

My car reminds me when it’s time, thank goodness! Like a good girl I make an appointment when it tells me to 🙂
I would love this considering we have 4 drivers in the family now!
