I always dread the winter for one big reason: figuring out what kind of shoes to wear to work. I normally end up wearing my boots almost daily during the winter because all my dressy shoes are sandals or open toes, and I refuse to wear hose. I hate pantyhose with a passion. They run and tear *so* easily that I’m constantly buying new pairs.
I’m thinking about getting a pair of black tights and trying them out this winter. I have one pair of closed toe shoes that I can think of off hand, but I might need to get another pair. I figure tights are thicker than hose, so they probably won’t rip as easily. Plus, they’ll keep my legs warmer. What do you wear in the winter to work? Tights? Hose? Boots?
I loathe pantyhose. I wear longer skirts to avoid wearing pantyhose.
I often go for a nice pair of knee high boots with heels.
When I was still working in an office environment, what I did was to leave a pair of shoes in the office, and I would wear boots in and then change.
I had to walk a pretty good distance to get to the bus stop, and if my feet got wet, then I was miserable for the rest of the day.
I wore boots and changed into tennis shoes for work. I worked retail and there was no way I was wearing boots or heals to work.

Back on topic, here – pantyhose SUCK! I hate them with the fire of a thousand burning suns! Hahaha! I totally feel ya on that!
Now tights, those aren’t too bad – the ones that are like socks, yeah – cotton. That’s it. ha – I’m so goofy.
