My cell phone died today. When I say died, I mean it pretty much broke in half. I have a Motorola Razr, and now the top half is dangling from the bottom half by a wire.
I’m still trying to figure out how in the world that happened. When Joe called me this morning, I noticed a metal piece had come off the left side, but it still worked. Then, he tried calling me and the screen filled with blue lines and went black. After that, the top piece fell apart. It’s just crazy. I’ve never had any problems with this phone before, and I’ve *never* had a phone fall apart on me like this before. It’s a good thing Joe’s due for an upgrade. And now I have a pretty good excuse to use his upgrade! I was thinking about getting a Pantech Matrix. I think the sliding keyboards are neat, and it has a qwerty keyboard like the Blackberry and Blackjack but doesn’t seem as bulky. Plus, it has XM Radio and I can transfer music from ITunes onto it. I just wish it came in pink! I love how my Razr was bright pink.
However, I decided to get the LG Vu, and I’m so glad I did. It’s a touch screen, and it’s awesome. I absolutely love it. I got a pink case for it on ebay yesterday. I can’t wait for that to arrive.
I was going to get the Iphone, but since Joe’s line was the one able to be upgraded, we would have been charged twice as much as we are now for the Iphone plan. It was definitely more cost effective to wait until my line is due for an upgrade in April.
What kind of cell phone do you have?
Is that a footprint? You stepped on your phone on purpose just to get a new phone! Admit it! 🙂
No offense, but the Razr is a piece of crap. My husband replaced his Razr about two weeks ago after having a terrible time with it keeping a charge for the past year. It wasn’t the batter either…we replaced that…still wouldn’t hold a charge. I asked the lady at the store about it, and she said all Verizon stores had completely pulled Razr phones from the sales floor due to all the problems. She said Motorola in general had been having a lot of proglems.
I have an LG…I don’t know the model…it’s just a regular phone. When I got it I wanted a Razr (this was before Jason had his), but the salesperson talked me out of it. I’m due for a new phone, but I haven’t found one I’m in love with. J just got the LG EnV2, and I like it a lot.

Oh no! I don’t know anything about the keypad phones~my cell is like yours except it’s black. I ♥ my razr~haven’t had any problems w/it 🙂 Hope you enjoy your new phone~you’ll have to tell us which one you decide on.
Are you with AT&T? If so, just drop the cash on an iPhone. It’s absolutely worth it. I didn’t want to buy one, but in looking at everything else, nothing beat it. The other phones just seem to be so poorly made. Good luck!! I hate cell phone shopping.
My husband and I just got Blackberrys. He dropped his in a pool while working (for, like, the third time), so I made him get me a new one, too. I told him I should be rewarded for taking good care of mine! haha Maybe Joe can use it, too, and you can both get new phones? 🙂 Anyway, I really like my Blackberry.
My dh and I got the LG Voyager this past Summer. He had a Razr and he loved his too. I’ve only had LG phones since I’ve had a cell phone. Although, I have to agree with Stacey, if I was with AT&T, I would TOTALLY get the iPhone! 🙂
