tonight, our kiwanis club threw a surprise wedding shower for one of our members and his fiance, who are getting married next weekend. yesterday, i made a card. it was the first wedding card i’d made, and i think it turned out really well.
i didn’t get to go to the shower because i had to work, but joe said the bride-to-be immediately knew it was handmade, and when i showed up at the very in she told me how much she loved it.
in fact, everyone loved it. i walked out of there with a job to make 10-20 thank you cards a week for one of our members who is a local insurance agent. and, several of our other members want to give me some business as well.
so i think i’m going to start my own business. i figure i’ll talk to some real estate and other insurance agents (out of town of course!) about doing thank you cards for them. i think that’s a good place to start. i’m so excited.

i’ve always thought about making cards to sell, but i have so little time to even make enough cards for my own uses. ahhh, if only i didn’t have to work/study.
