my youngest brother graduated from college yesterday. there were approximately 650 of the 800 graduates there, and from our seats in the third section at mckenzie arena, it was hard to tell who was who. luckily, ryan had put a big “h” on the top of his cap, so we were able to see him when he marched in. he got an english degree and graduated cum laude. i am very proud of him. i know how hard it is to get good grades in college, especially when you start working and finishing school part time.

joe went down to the floor right before the students started receiving their diplomas. we thought they would start with the college of arts and sciences, but they ended up starting with the doctoral and master’s students. poor joe was waiting around for a while. he wasn’t able to get to the stage because it was roped off, but he was able to get some shots of ryan as he got in line to get his diploma.

next up is randy’s graduation from nursing school in december. that event will be much more sad because he will be leaving to work in manchester, kentucky for three years.
