meet callie, the newest member of the schulman family.
we weren’t intending on getting a new cat so soon, but when we stopped by the local humane society on our way to church on saturday, we met callie and she stole our hearts. she is a 3-month-old calico, and she is as active as they come. she spent a good bit of time yesterday afternoon knocking the ball around the ball track.
aj and dizzy are still getting used to her, but today they pretty much have stopped hissing and growling at her which is good. she’s just so playful, and they’re not used to it. and, she’s not really helping her case by stealing their sleeping spots.
i still miss julius *so* much. it’s hard to go outside every day and see his grave. but i think having a third cat again helps. it was so painful seeing just aj and dizzy in the kitchen at dinner time. plus, callie meows and meows and meows when she wants food just like julius did (although his was more of a squeak then a meow), and she throws her arm over her face when she sleeps like she did. seeing that seems to help a little.

Oh Callie is just so adorable, and she looks so little!
Oscar is all grown up now, it’s crazy how big he got. I’m sure your kitties will get used to her soon!
She has ears like a bat!
My grandparents used to have a calico cat named Callie, too! She was *so* sweet. I loved that cat. Your Callie is *so* cute! Aww! So cuddly! Welcome to the family!
Aww~Callie is SOOO cute! I know what you mean too~a new cat is never a replacement for cats we lose; but it does seem to help your heart heal, doesn’t it 😉 Welcome Callie 🙂
