  • I really need some fat burner pills. I think some of those, along with my diet and exercise (which I really need to get back into now that Lucy's swimming lessons are done, by the way), would help give me a kick start into losing some of this weight. I feel like I have so far to go. I need to just take it five pounds at a time rather than looking at it as a whole.

    How far along: 37 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Up 22 pounds from my first OB appt.
    Maternity clothes: Definitely.
    Sleep: Horrible.
Best moment this week: Finding out that I’ve made progress toward labor.
    Movement: Yep. She’s squirmy.
    Food cravings: Chocolate, Mexican food.
    Gender: A little girl!
    Labor Signs: False labor. (
Belly Button in or out: Still in.
What I miss: Being able to walk and sleep without pain.
What I am looking forward to: Having fewer than 20 days to go.
Weekly Wisdom: Progress doesn’t mean labor is imminent.
    Milestones: Full term!

I have officially hit the full term mark, which means Lucy can come any time and should be just fine. However, I don’t think she has plans to come out any time in the near future. I still get crampy during the day, but my contractions have pretty much disappeared. Bummer. However, I’m still spotting, so I hope that means I’m continuing to dilate. As much as I want to meet her NOW, I’m OK with her waiting. The longer she waits means the more time I can take off for maternity leave.

Last night I woke up with HORRIBLE back pain. It was on the right side of my lower back, and it was the worst pain I’ve ever experienced. Joe thought at first it was back labor, but it seemed to subside after I took some Tylenol. I know I’ll have back labor since Lucy is posterior, and now I am really dreading it. Please let me have a short labor!
