  • I really need some fat burner pills. I think some of those, along with my diet and exercise (which I really need to get back into now that Lucy's swimming lessons are done, by the way), would help give me a kick start into losing some of this weight. I feel like I have so far to go. I need to just take it five pounds at a time rather than looking at it as a whole.

One of my friends swears that the Eggplant Parmigiana at a local restaurant makes women go into labor. I always thought it was just a coincidence, but when I checked out their Web site, I noticed they have a gallery dedicated to their “Eggplant Parmigiana babies”. There are hundreds of them! All their moms say they went into labor within 48 hours of eating the Eggplant Parm. And, Scalini’s goes one step further and has a page dedicated to moms to be with information about the legend and the restaurant’s Eggplant Parm recipe for those who want to try it at home.

I told Joe we should give it a shot. I just wonder if it works *without* the cheese…

LOL, I definitely ate eggplant parm (at Macaroni Grill) the night I went into labor with Amelia! STRONG, regular contractions started about 4 hours post-meal. I will absolutely be eating eggplant parm on a regular basis after 37 weeks!!

I just looked up this theory…how interesting. What I read says that it’s likely not the eggplant but the large amounts of oregano and basil. Either way, eat up!

That is SO funny. I like eggplant Parmesan.

There’s a pizza place by us that sells the “preggo pizza.” It was even on the food network. I tried it, as well as three of my friends, didn’t work for any of us! Plus, we figure it’s the ridiculous amount of meat that they put on it that gives major heartburn, therefore leading to labor. Yuck!

I wonder why it happens? Oregano and basil? Pish Posh. LOL
