there is a hostage situation at the apartment complex behind us. apparantly, there was a domestic dispute with a shooting, and the man is still inside with a hostage. i just did a live report, and joe and i went to the sidewalk in front of our building, and the deputies yelled at us to go back inside. there were deputies in our parking lot with their guns drawn, but it looks like they’ve moved in a little closer now. i heard the ambulance take off…i hope no one was seriously hurt. people were actually walking up to the armed deputies and trying to walk up to the crime scene, so i don’t blame the officers for being pissed off at people. you just don’t do that. i can tell you that as a veteran crime reporter, but anyone in their right mind should know that.
