i finally finished editing the pictures we took at my brother’s wedding. it’s so funny that three of us siblings got married this year. hopefully, my other brother will wait at least a year!
ryan’s wedding was really pretty, and i was impressed with what they were able to do in just two weeks. they got married at harrison bay state park with the lake right behind them. oriona’s dress was really pretty, but the matron of honor and bridesmaids wore different shades of red, which was different. ryan told me he was wearing a white tux with black pinstripes, and i was kind of worried about how it would look, but it really looked good on him.
my grandfathers performed the ceremony. they said the same things they did at our wedding, so it was nice to be able to actually hear it. hehe. i was trying to pay attention at our wedding, but my mind was on other things, namely my husband. 🙂
instead of lighting a unity candle, ryan and oriona had a unity water ceremony where they each poured a test tube of colored water into a larger test tube. it was interesting and definitely different. it was suiting, though, because oriona’s father makes water.
the reception was fun because i was able to talk to my grandparents and brothers’ friends who i don’t see very often. one of their best friends, andrew, goes to school in washington d.c. now, so it was nice to see him. also, my high school history teacher was at the wedding (but couldn’t stay for the reception), so it was really cool getting to see him again. the toast was hilarious because ryan’s friends were chanting “chug! chug! chug!” which he took literally. he’s a lot taller than oriona, so when he raised his arm all the way up, he caused her to almost spill her drink on her dress! hehe.

Wow… they pulled that off in two weeks? Why do the rest of us spend months planning then?? It looks like it was a beautiful wedding.
Glad you guys had fun! Neat photos!
