we decorated our christmas tree today! it was a lot of fun, as always, and the cats enjoyed playing in the tree and with the ornament hooks.

here is one of our gorgeous tree! i’ve gone with white, silver and blue decorations, and i absolutely love it. i think it looks elegant.

 

it was freezing last night when we went to pick out our tree. luckily, it didn’t take us long at all. i was surprised at how few trees were left, because there was more of a selection last year and i think i waited longer to buy one.

i’m lucky i have a husband who enjoys decorating the tree with me. we had a fabulous time doing it together as we watched a movie we picked up at blockbuster.

the cats had a blast too. they absolutely *love* christmas trees. i think this is their favorite time of year. luckily, they haven’t taken to climbing the tree, as my parents’ cat frisky used to do, although aj got pretty close to that tonight.

dizzy likes playing with the tree branches, but his favorite part is playing with the ornament hooks. he just didn’t understand why we kept taking them away.

and, of course, we had to take pictures of ourselves in front of the tree.
