the wedding we attended on saturday was very nice. the bride had her husband-to-be’s twin daughters as their only attendants, which i thought was nice. the girls were really cute, and when shawn and aimee lit the unity candle, they had the girls hold hands with them. it was really sweet. when aimee walked down the aisle she was bawling. she was crying so loud you could hear her over the music, but i thought it was sweet. i cried at my own wedding, and i always think it’s cute when brides do that.
after the wedding, we headed upstairs for the reception. it was a nice, simple reception, which really fits the couple’s personalities.
i thought the wedding cake was really pretty.
you can really see the height difference between the bride and groom. shawn had to crouch for the toast. it was really funny.
i thought aimee’s dress was really pretty. i loved the top and how it was different from the skirt.
sigh. i love weddings.
I love weddings too! Nothing makes me happier than posts like this full of pictures and opinions about weddings. I suppose eventually when my own wedding is over I might get sick of them, but for now? They are amazing.
The dress is very complimentary to her figure. While in the bridalshop over the weekend, there were tons of women trying on dresses that simply did not fit their shape. This lady’s dress was beautiful and she totally rocked it. I love weddings, too, but I’ll admit to being completely freaked out for mine this weekend!!!
Oh no…I am going to try not to cry. I don’t want the “Ugly Cry” stuck on film for years to come. A stray tear down one cheek is fine, but the “Ugly Cry” oh no.
I will cry, I am sure of it. I cry reading other peoples wedding stories, I cry watching WE I cry all the time. LOL Pete just shakes his head and laughs at me. LOL
I didn’t cry at my wedding. I don’t know why; I guess I’m just not a cryer? I do often cry at other people’s weddings though…so I guess it’s weird.
As Casey said, the dress really does suit her figure. I recall wedding dress shopping all those years ago and seeing women trying on dresses that just were not the fit for them.
I love weddings too. They’re great if you’re not involved with all the shallow garbage that sometimes happens with families behind the scenes. If you’re just an innocent, fun-loving guest. And there’s dancing. 🙂
I didn’t cry at my wedding. I don’t think I’ve ever cried at a wedding. Or even a funeral. Which is interesting, because I cry over things like not having clean socks to wear. I guess when it comes to serious stuff, I just handle it in a different way. I tend to joke rather than cry.
That being said, I remember standing at the altar and my knees were shaking so bad I was GLAD I was wearing a huge dress. 🙂
