my younger brother is in nursing school, and i can already tell he will be a fabulous nurse. i’m not just biased because he’s my brother, but i can tell how much he really cares. for example, he asks me a lot of questions regarding my arthritis and does research, and he’s been doing a lot of reading up about my weight loss problem. he called tonight and said that the large amounts of fiber i’ve been eating recently could cause weight gain initally. i’ve been eating a lot of chocolate quakes lately because they are chocolatey, but they also are healthy and low in calories because they are rice cakes. i eat 3-4 servings a day to fill me up, and that’s about 75-100 grams of fiber, which is 3-4 times what you should eat a day. eventually, it’s supposed to help me lose weight, but he says since it’s so bulky it can cause weight gain in the beginning. at least it’s a starting point and one more thing to ask the doctor about tomorrow.

Losing weight sure is tricky. But you’ll get the hang of it. Trust me.
I don’t think those have ANY fiber in them… I LOVE LOVE LOVE the mini delights and eat tons of them, and I think it is actually one of the things that hurts me. I can probably eat 6 bags of the caramel if I don’t control myself. So I stopped buying them 🙁 simply because I don’t have self control… and when I eat that many, I might as well be splurging on a ice cream sundae or something!
MMmm now I REALLY WANT SOME!!! YUM!!
