Sweet Tea & Day Dreams

sharing

i’ve decided to unprotect my posts about ttc. i know i feel totally alone in this (even though i know i’m not), and reading blogs written by women in the same situation as me has helped. maybe opening up my posts can help someone else. now the question i have is, should i keep those posts on this blog or start a separate ttc blog? what do you think, since you’re my readers? i guess i worry that it will get boring.

    What is ttc?

That’s up to you. It would probably be easier just posting about TTC here and not having to keep up with a separate blog. That’s my thought, anyway! It’s really awesome that you want to share your TTC adventures with everyone … and you’re right, maybe it’ll help someone else. Admirable, Cady!

There are times when I wish that I could just have a public blog and type all about our issues with infertility and ttc…my regular blog actually began as a ttc blog if you go back and read the first entry. Anyway, I realized quickly that I am not the kind of person that can spill my guts about something so very personal and not know just who is reading it. I find myself holding back when I should be sharing…and that defeats the purpose of it all. It doesn’t take long to realize how hurtful and insensitive some people can be, and I just like the support, hence the private blog. Anyway, do whatever feels right for you. Some people share every single aspect of ttc with every person they know, and some keep it on the down low (like me)…it’s just a personal choice…either way, we’ll all be here waiting when you decide to talk about it.

my view on it is that it is part of your every day normal life right now… so why not share it… and like you said it might help someone else later… but for the people that didn’t know what TTC is trying to concive (aka trying to make babies hehehe)…

Oh, Cady, I had no idea you’re going through all of this. I think it’s hard to make a suggestion about whether you should start a separate blog or not. I think it depends on your readership – do you have friends/family in real life who read this blog? And if so, do they know about your TTC struggles? I think that would influence my decision, if I were you. (Although by virtue of this post, my guess is that if you had friends/family reading this, you obviously don’t have qualms about posting about it anymore.) Eh, I’m of no use….

    Signed,
    Indecisive Nanette

*hugs* I love reading, and I would read if you put it elsewhere as well.

If it’s boring, they can stop reading, LOL! I think what you’re doing is brave, and you should be able to post about here on the main blog!

I think you should keep them here–TTC is a big part of who you are and I have been following your ups and downs loyally. Although, if you wanted to write a separate blog, I’d read that, too.

I think you should do what you’re most comfortable with. I would read either here/another blog (if you chose to do that) & offer any support I could. I agree w/everyone else~it’s very brave of you to discuss it~no matter how/where you do it 🙂

We’ve had some amazing times, some not so great ones, and we really put the “in sickness and in health” part of our vows to the test this last year. This man is always willing to get my pain pills in the middle of the night, has helped me through Covid recovery and does everything I can’t without complaint. He’s also the funniest person I know and can always make me laugh, and he’s pretty hot, too. I am a lucky woman to call him my husband. Here’s to many more years of happily ever after. I love you! ❤️❤️
