everyone in cartersville was at the new gas station near our house today. at least it seemed that way. when i drove by on my way to work i noticed lines of cars and then did a double take when i saw the price of regular gas: $3.39. it has been $3.79 here for about a week or so now, and it’s been a while since it’s been as low as $3.39 (it makes me cry to think that $3.39 a gallon is low). so, i pulled over and got in line. i went ahead and filled my tank up, and to me it was worth it. i saved some money, and that full tank will last me at least two weeks, possibly a little longer.
joe said a gas station near his office also had dropped its price for regular gas drastically. we later found out the stations are starting to do that as promotions because they’re all losing money as a result of the rising gas prices. instead of buying snacks, coffee and sodas as they used to, drivers are now putting in $10 here and $15 there and taking off. i hope the rise in gas prices tapers off soon. i’m just glad joe’s not driving to atlanta anymore.

I don’t know what the difference is, but if you can do the math, we pay $1.24/litre right now.
Crazy
I wish they would do that around here… right now my county is adding an extra 10 cents to every gallon… so it really sucks up here lol…
It’s really insane, isn’t it? Scary how much we rely on natural resources like gas. I hope that it tapers off soon, too. Glad to hear that you filled your tank a bit more cheaply! Last time I got gas in our Toyota Matrix, it was $35.35 to fill it up. CRAZY!!!
