i’m a play it safe kind of person when it comes to clothes. if i have a black and white skirt or pants, i’ll pair it with a white shirt. maybe that’s why everything in my closet is black, white or brown.
what do you all think about the colors in this outfit?
and yes, that is how i look after a 5-hour car trip. back to the outfit, it’s totally out of my comfort zone, but i think it looks ok. too bad i don’t have a yellow shirt to go with it, though.

Oh yeah, any solid colored, fitted shirt goes great with a black & white patterned skirt. Well, any color but brown, tan, or navy.

I think it looks great! As long as the fabrics are akin to each other, I think you can play around with almost any color. The only thing that doesn’t go with black is navy and/or brown.
Do you ever watch What Not To Wear? Stacy always says “It doesn’t ‘match’…it ‘GOES’.” So many people get really caught up with matching when you can get some really cute outfits by throwing in an extra color that just “goes”. I personally love black, white, and red…good choice!
