We’re heading up to the in-laws’ cabin in Blue Ridge tonight, and tomorrow we’re leaving bright and early to go to the Kangaroo Conservation Center in Dawsonville. Apparently, you ride through in a tram and can actually get out and pet the kangaroos. I’m super excited because I’ve always liked kangaroos. It’s going to be so much fun.
Afterward, we’re heading to Amicalola Falls to hike/walk/hang out. My knees have been hurting a lot lately, probably from the changing weather (although I have yet to feel it during the day), but I hope they’ll be ok for hiking because I *really* want to see the falls. I’ve always wanted to hike up there.
Then, we’re going to Burt’s Pumpkin Farm! I have not been to a pumpkin patch since elementary school, so I’m also really excited about this stop. Joe and I have decided we want to carve a pumpkin this year. I can’t believe we haven’t done that since we’ve been married (or, really, since we’ve been together).
That’s a preview of our weekend. What do you have planned?

You’ll have to let me know how Amicalola Falls is! Somehow I’ve never managed to get down that way (even though I’ve been to the Dawsonville outlet mall too many times to count! … priorities, right?!?) Have fun! I hear it’s gorgeous!

We’ve been to Burt’s Pumpkin Patch for the last two years. We are planning to go again this year. We try to go whenever we go to Ellijay to the Apple Festival. Love the north GA mountains this time of year!
