It’s Thanksgiving, and while our family gathering will be smaller and we’ll be missing Randy, who is in Michigan with his girlfriend and her family, and Ryan, Oriona and Harry, who are out in Taiwan, there are many, many things I am thankful for this year.

I am thankful for an awesome family and in-laws and that they all get along so well.

I am thankful for my fabulous husband who does everything he can to make me happy.

I am thankful that my grandmother is home after rehab and that she wasn’t more seriously injured when she fell.

I am thankful that Nana (Joe’s grandmother) is off her oxygen full time. She still uses it on occasion, but the fluid is now out of her lungs, and she can even walk around the block now.

I am thankful for my job. There are so many people now who have lost theirs.

I am thankful for having a job that I love.

I am thankful for having a roof over my head and food on my table.

I am thankful that Joe works in town now and no longer has to drive to Atlanta.

I am thankful for my friends, both in real life and online.

I am thankful I have this blog to us as an outlet.

I am thankful for my three crazy cats. They drive me bananas most of the time (and by they I mean Callie), but I love them, and I don’t know what I would do without them.

I am thankful for a husband who goes out every few days and clears the fallen leaves off Julius’ grave.

I am thankful for life.
