I’m not the best packer. Every time we go on a trip, I forget something. Usually it’s something small, but sometimes I forget things I really need.
Take this trip. Last night, we drove to Chattanooga for my brother’s nursing school pinning ceremony, and we stayed overnight since his graduation is tonight. What did I forget? My pajamas, socks and, well, other necessary clothing items.
So, after the pinning we went to the new Wal-Mart here in Collegedale so I could grab what I needed. When we got to the register, I recognized the cashier. And he, unfortunately recognized me. We went to high school together. Sigh. It’s pretty embarrassing having a guy you know ring up women’s clothing items.

There’s nothing too embarrass about. He just doing his job and so are you.
Oh yes, that would be awkward. Congratulations to your brother.
I always forget something when packing, too! One time I was so busy helping my husband pack that I forgot my whole suitcase…
The FIRST night that I spent at my then new inlaws house I had forgotten my pj’s also. OMG, I felt so uncomfortable all night trying to sleep in just my undies.
Yes I can imagine that would be embarrasing. You should havve blamed your brother LOL!
We all have these little embarrassing moments…. I think they are to keep us humble…. LOL
Wow, there’s a reason not to live in a small town! My goodness.
Hmm, yes, I think I would be embarrassed to have someone I know ring up women’s clothing items, especially in my size 😉
One of the great things about getting older is you spend a whole lot less time being embarrassed about things you have no control over. Instead, hopefully, it was good to see someone from your past? 🙂
Nothing to be embarrassed about. It is a small world after all. One day you’ll laugh about it!
Ha – Dianne is sooo right! The older you get the less you worry about that type of thing. I still try to sort of hide the pantyliners under other things in my shopping cart though 😉
Oh yes, Mom always forgets something! No matter how hard she tries not to forget! Thanks for sharing with us!
Your FL furiends,
@samantha & mr. tigger – it’s not a trip if i don’t forget something!
