Everything is fine for now. The placenta has moved and is no longer a previa. Yay! And, my daughter is perfectly fine with a nice, healthy heartbeat.
Did you catch that? My DAUGHTER! IT’S A GIRL! Her name is Lucy Jane. We’re *so* excited. Now I just have to get used to the idea and calling her by her name. It’s kind of strange!
There was some not so good news. I have a clot, which is likely what caused my bleeding this morning. So far it’s not threatening the baby, but if it’s still there in two weeks it may become a risk and I’ll be referred to a high risk doctor. So, for the next two weeks I am on bedrest. It sucks. I was so over it after the first two days, and now I have two more weeks.
We’re just thanking God that everything is ok with little Lucy.

PHEW! I am so glad she’s OK. Where is the clot? Is it uterine?? Bed rest sucks, I know, but try to enjoy this quiet time and let your body grow little Lucy (LOVE the name!) and relax. Read some great books, catch up on some TV series you’ve been wanting to watch, and empty out your Netflix queue! 🙂

Lurker here…I’m not sure how I came across your blog but I have been checking in from time to time for a while now. First of all, congratulations!! Second, I want to share something with you…My father worked for California State Adoptions for years. He specifically worked with the children who had been taken away from their families, not the ones voluntarily given up at birth. Growing up I heard so many stories about neglected children, abused children, children conceived specifically so their family could receive more welfare, etc. Knowing too well that those kinds of situations are out there it is *SO* nice to hear about the loving families who want nothing more than to love and provide for a child, and who have often struggled and sacrificed to have them in the first place. Little Lucy (LOVE the name) is lucky to be so wanted and loved, even before she is born. I wish you the best and look forward to more updates. “-)

Oh Cady & Joe~Congratulations! Your mother’s intuition was right wasn’t it 😉 ♥ her name!! I’m so glad the placenta previa resolved itself & am so sorry to hear about the clot. Since you’ll be closely monitored now, I’m positive it will resolve itself also. Praying for you guys concerning the clot. I know it’ll be hard but try to make the best of the bedrest.
