Lucy and I headed back to the Social Security office this morning. This time, we went to a different office, and I’m so glad we did.
I waited maybe 10 minutes before being called to a window, and the staff at this office was *so* much more friendly and helpful. And, no one asked me for Lucy’s photo ID! I answered a few questions, showed my ID to prove I’m Lucy’s mom, and her application was submitted.
Now, we wait. After her birth certificate is verified, we’re supposed to received a reciept telling us her Social Security card has been sent. Although, if they send out both on the same day as they said they do, I wonder why I would receive the receipt 10-14 days before the card.
So, hopefully in the next two weeks or so, Lucy will actually exist in the government’s eyes.

Congrats! I’ve given you the Prolific Blogger Award! Thanks for entertaining me with your blog and keep up the awesome posts 🙂
Yey for having a child that “exists”! 😉 Hope it all goes smoothly for the both of you!
