So, our niece (Joe’s sister’s daughter) turned 2 a couple of weeks ago, and we partied it up Barney-style. There were green and purple decorations. There was great food. There were green and purple cupcakes that Lucy *kind* of cared about.
What did she REALLY care about? The bouncy house. Of course. My girl is ADDICTED to bouncing and bouncy houses. She did not get out. Not to eat. Not to drink. Can we say obsessed?
When you bounce, you fall. That’s half the fun, you know.
And when you get tired of bouncing? You can just lay down!
We WERE able to lure Lucy out for cupcakes (if there’s one thing my child loves more than bouncy houses, it’s cake), but she was ready after a few minutes to go back in.
But, before she did, Aunt Rachel sprayed her hair with purple paint to go with the Barney theme!
Oh yeah, and there was silly string which, apparently, is HILARIOUS. But, I’m sure you guys already knew that.
And yes, my kid was the one sliding out of the bouncy house and hitting the ground face-first, brushing off her hands and going back in for more. A girly-girl she is not. Yet.
