I’ve felt so off today. Maybe it has to do with the fact that I haven’t slept well the last few nights or that our day was completely thrown off by a backward schedule. I’m not sure.

I was wide awake at 5:30 a.m. (ugh) and laid in bed trying to go back to sleep until 7:30 when Lucy decided it was time for me to get up (she had been up since 6:30). So, that was that. We had breakfast and headed out to the store, hitting up CVS and Kroger (two trips to Kroger because I left all my coupons at home and found some new mega sale items). We got some fabulous deals, though, so it was all good. Lucy was a trooper, especially during my second trip when the register locked up on the cashier. More on that later.

I tried to do a little bit of work when we got home, but then Lucy told me she was tired and wanted to nap with me. Since I was tired too, I was happy to oblige, and we were in bed by 11:30 a.m. Yay. That meant a late lunch around 1:30ish when we woke up, and then it was time for some more work until 4:30 p.m., when I got her ready and took her to meet Joe for Kiwanis.

And, that was our day. Completely backward, and I feel like I got nothing accomplished. I guess those kinds of day are OK, though, huh? Tomorrow, I hope to be back on schedule, and I’m hoping to take Lucy to the park to enjoy the outdoors before storms roll in on Wednesday morning.
