trying to move on

we’ve decided to get a new cat. it is not in anyway that we’re trying to replace or forget julius. that’s just not possible. but, it’ll make it easier for us and our other cats to move on. they’ll have a distraction and someone else to play with, and we’ll have someone else to bring more happiness into our lives. and, i think that julius’ would have wanted us to use his death to save a cat from being euthanized. it’s something good that can come out of this horrible situation.

I would totally do the same thing. I’m such a “cat” person & love all cats. Like you, I’ve never tried to replace any cat that I’ve lost, but it does seem to make it bearable & gives you another cat child to love šŸ™‚ I totally agree about your other cats needing that too~they loved Julius too & miss him as much as you do & it’ll help them as well šŸ™‚ You’ll have to keep us updated & post pics of your new kitty when you guys get it šŸ™‚

We all handle loss in our own way & like you said, it can be the good in a horrible situation.
