  • I really need some fat burner pills. I think some of those, along with my diet and exercise (which I really need to get back into now that Lucy's swimming lessons are done, by the way), would help give me a kick start into losing some of this weight. I feel like I have so far to go. I need to just take it five pounds at a time rather than looking at it as a whole.

I finally got things worked out with AT&T — after close to two months of daily phone calls to the customer service center. I’m glad I decided to call the corporate office; otherwise, I’m sure we’d *still* be dealing with everything. I didn’t get the complete resolution I wanted, but I got just about everything, so I decided to let one little extra slide.

I also got my car back today. The mechanic told me it would cost close to $1,000 to replace the y pipe, but the welded it back together for a fraction of that cost, which took a lot of stress off me. They said it should run just for for a few more years and, like I told Joe, as long as it lasts until his car is paid off, we’ll be good to go. I just don’t want two car payments at once.

I’ll be back tomorrow with a recap of family day at Joe’s museum. It’ll be a nice change from my recent internet and car rants, huh?

Glad you got everything worked out to your satisfaction. And that’s great that they were able to temporarily repair your y pipe.

Come this spring, we’ll have two car payments for the next two years. Not exactly looking forward to it, but I think it’s time to replace my 10 year old car with a Prius. Haha.

Stupid cars, ours is in need of a serious service at the moment.
Love the new layout by the way!!

Sounds like you finally got someone to listen. I hope the weld holds, which it should, and make it til you can get a different car. Have a great Thursday.

    • cady says:

connie – thanks…me too. i’m good with a fix that will last me 3-4 years.

    • cady says:

corrin – that sucks. i’m really trying to not have to have two car payments at once. my car is 9 years old, but the mechanic at firestone said it should last at least another 100,000 miles. i hope he’s right!

    • cady says:

lady grace – mine apparently needs some other work done, but we’re going to wait on that for now. )

    • cady says:

karen – it sounds like it should be just fine. like i said, as long as it lasts 3-4 years, i’ll be happy.

It’s nice when things start going your way at last. Makes up for all the stress!

I wish I wasn;t stuck with AT&T but they have the iPhone market locked down ( — And they don’t have good reception in my apartment while other provders do.

    • Sadie says:

I’m glad you got things worked out with ATT – even if it isn’t perfect. Like I told you before, I completely sympathize with you on that front. )

    • skeeterbess says:

It’s so aggrevating when our modern conveniences fail us! I’m glad you’ve gotten both problems resolved and can now relax … until the nextr time!

    • Good you found your way to the top to get solutions, it’s just too bad that most phone companies can’t just resolve situations at the customer service level… it’s what they are there for isn’t it? And congrats on saving money on your car!

    • Maureen says:

Dealing with customer service and others to get resolution on anything is a pain in the neck! I hate to waste time on that kind of stuff- it always takes more time and effort that you originally thought. Good for you getting a resolution!

vein – we haven’t had *as* many problems with the cell phone side as we have with the internet side. we’re locked in with our contracts too. i have an iphone too.

    • cady says:

sadie – i’m ok with it not being perfect. i’m just enjoying not being on the phone with them. )

samantha & mr. tigger – i still have no respect for at&t. i think we still will be switching in the future…if comcast lowers its price for dvr, that is.
