last night, we went out. after my meeting, we met brandon and emma at knights, a new bar in town, for brandon’s birthday. we had a cookie cake and just sat around talking. it was a lot of fun. emma and i seem to get along pretty well, and we talked about the gilmore girls and scrapbooking…the important things in life. 🙂

tonight, joe and i are going to a new synagogue in rome. it’s a small congregation that is made up of mostly interfaith couples. i’m really excited. i don’t have any friends in town really, so it’ll be nice to meet some couples (hopefully younger couples!) who are in the same situation we are and who we hopefully can be friends with.

tomorrow, we’re heading up to chattanooga to have lunch with my family and celebrate joe’s and oriona’s birthdays. i’m making brownies. yum!
