We had our first baby shower last night. Our Kiwanis Club threw us a shower during our regular weekly meeting. It was a little early, but since I cover meetings on Monday nights, I am only able to go when there’s a fifth Friday. And, of course, this was the only fifth Friday between now and Lucy’s birth.
We got there a little early, and everyone was busy setting up. It was really cute. There was one long table for food and another table in the front of the room for gifts. The woman who organized the shower, who happens to be Lucy’s babysitter, ordered a really cute cake!
We got some great gifts that included clothes, bottles, bibs, diapers, gift cards and cash, a really cute picture frame that has four spots for pictures: first day, first bath, first smile and first birthday.
Our next shower is October 6 at work. I can’t wait. I love celebrating our little girl!
