I have been having such a HARD time picking out gifts for Lucy. I finally ordered her birthday gift tonight (really, her third gift as we’re making a keepsake for her and I picked up a little something for pretty cheap a few weeks ago). This is her “big” gift, though it’s not all that big. It’s a toy she LOVES playing with at a play place we go to, so we thought it would be a safe bet.
Of course, now I’m thinking about what to get her for Christmas. I know she doesn’t need anything “big” at her age, but as her parent, I want to get her an awesome gift! I think we might get her another learning toy or maybe a toy she can push around. It’s hard when she’s only a year old!
What kind of toys did you buy your kids when they were 1? Do you have any suggestions for christmas gift ideas for children?

I can’t wait to hear some responses. I’m struggling, too. We have a couple things in the basement that we might use for Christmas and his birthday, but I feel kind of bad since they were free to us.
Em was 14 months old last Christmas. Her big presents were a play kitchen & a toddler-friendly doll house. She still adores her play kitchen, and I think she’ll get back into her doll house when she gets more into pretend play.
