Last weekend, we took Lucy to Chuck E. Cheese’s for the first time. Joe’s parents wanted to get together with both grandkids, and we thought it would be a fun place to go.

There was a fun toddler area with lots of cars for kids to ride on, and Rivka had a blast. It took a while for Lucy to come around, which we thought was because she was tired from the time change. We found out after we got home that she had a fever. Poor girl. This was her when we first arrived:

But, after she got some pizza in her little belly, she had fun. We couldn’t keep her off the Bob the Builder, Chuck E. Cheese and Barney cars. Seriously. If we tried to take her out, she would cry. So, we let her keep riding. We wanted her to have fun!

The Rugrats ride wasn’t working (it was too full of tokens), but that didn’t detract Lucy from having fun playing with the steering wheel.

We also got a family sketch made. Guess who wasn’t happy about sitting for the 2 seconds it took to take the picture.

Of course, the biggest highlight was meeting Chuck E. Cheese. Lucy had to give him a high-five!

And, of course, I had to introduce her to skeeball, my favorite game EVER. I seriously rock at it, and now Lucy has a nice start to her collection of tickets.

I cannot WAIT to take Lucy back!
