I had a pretty great week this week. Morningstar products FINALLY went on BOGO sale at Publix and, since it’s been 4-5 months since the last sale, I’ve given myself permission to go a little over budget in order to stock up because spending a little more now when I can get them for $0.98/each is definitely not having to buy them when they’re $3.95/each. The sale ends Tuesday at my store and Wednesday at the stores in the next county down, so I’ve got a few more days to hit the sales and grab some rain checks. This is the first time I’ve been able to really stock up since a friend sold us her chest freezer, so I’m REALLY excited!

This week, I spent $55.84 and got $305.86 worth of groceries for a savings of 82 percent. And, that’s really not THAT much over my goal of $40/week (and only $5 over what I typically spent a week last year). For a detailed spreadsheet of this week’s purchases, click here.
