I’m on the hunt for additional exercise products that will give me a good workout at home but are portable and easy to store since I don’t have an exercise room yet. I’ve been doing aerobics, weight lifting and my stationary bike, but I’m always looking for something new to throw into the mix so I don’t get too bored and so my body doesn’t get too used to my routine.

Recently, I’ve been looking at different kinds DVDs to give my workouts a little more variety. I picked up a boot camp DVD a few weeks ago, but it wasn’t exactly what I thought it would be. It’s really hard to find a really good exercise DVD, especially since I’m somewhat limited because of my arthritis. I can’t do squats because they cause my knees to swell and hurt, and pushups are hard too from the amount of time my knees are on the ground.

I’ve been looking at the XFLOWSION DVD set. It’s more expensive than other programs, but when you keep in mind that it comes with three DVDs, two guidebooks and two CDs, the cost doesn’t seem to be as bad. I’ve liked what I’ve seen by far. The program was developed by a trainer who works with celebrities, and each workout includes martial arts, power yoga and dance, all of which are good for working out. This kind of high intensity, 3-in-1 program is what I think I need to really rev up my metabolism, which seems to be my major weight loss block. So, I’m thinking about trying it out. Do any of you guys do home workouts? If so, what do you do?
