Last night, we played around with the camera and took some shots of our menorah after Joe lit the Hanukkah candles. I love this picture of Dizzy.

And, of course, Callie had to check out the candles.

Joe played around with the aperture and took some really neat shots.

Even I took a few pictures.
What do you all think?

I’ve never bothered to ask this before but I’ve always been curious- how long do you burn the candles for each day (I assume it’s each day?)?
ohhh what a pretty menorah… and what great shots!
What do I think? Well, nice shots! And they were edited neat.. I like the 3rd and 4th pictures..
Great job w/the pics! The ones w/Dizzy & Callie are especially cute 🙂
Beautiful. These pictures really remind you of what the lights are all about at Hanakkuh.
@living – they burn out when they’ve burned down.
@shannon – thanks! this menorah is prettier than joe’s sports menorah. heh.
@bhing – thanks, but they weren’t edited! that’s how they turned out when we changed the aperture on our camera. it’s pretty neat.
@connie – thanks! those are my favorites too.
@liz – they really do.
That’s so neat! I love the pics of your kitty – and the pictures of the menorah are beautiful. It seems so peaceful. It reminds me of when I was little and we used to light the Advent wreath each week at home. We never take the time to do that anymore, though… We should.
@sadie – i have an advent calendar, but i’ve never heard of an advent wreath before! that sounds neat.
An Advent wreath has 4 red candles that sit on the top of the wreath (the wreath lays on a table, it doesn’t hang) and then it has a white candle that sits in the middle. The 4 Sundays before Christmas you light one candle, lighting a new one each week along with the ones from the week before, and read a few verses from the Bible about how God told Mary about the pregnancy, and about how they had to travel to Bethlehem, etc – then on Christmas Eve you light the middle candle and read the story of His birth.
It just makes Christmas more about Jesus and less about Santa.
That is beautiful with the candles and the cats!! The pictures are beautiful! Marry Christmas to you and your family!
Your FL furiends,
Really lovely photos. The Menorah is beautiful. I like the first photo the best. Dizzy looks as if he’s so peaceful by the Menorah.
