I found the *perfect* dress for Lucy’s dedication. It’s white but not super frilly, which is what I was looking for. I’m a little nervous I won’t be able to find one I like as much as we get closer to September. However, I’m a little nervous to buy it now since I don’t know how she’ll grow. She’s on the small side now, but who knows if she’ll stay that way or grow so that she’s a bit big for 6-9 month clothing at that point.
Would you buy it in 6-9 month and hope your child fit into it, or press your luck and hope you can find a dress you love just as much later in the year?
In Lucy

I would buy it, and if it doesn’t fit for the dedication, it will still fit at some point and she can wear it then. In fact, depending on how much it costs you could even buy it in two sizes, and she can wear the other one at other times.
Buy both, save the receipt, and return the one that she doesn’t end up wearing
Buy two sizes and either return the one you don’t use or sell it on ebay. IF you can only buy one, bigger is better.
I don’t know many places that would take back an item in September that you bought in March…otherwise I would suggest buying two sizes. If the dress is short sleeved, I would just buy it in the smaller size. If you don’t have to worry about sleeve length then the smaller size will likely work. My girls’ Easter outfits last year were a size smaller than they wore in their regular clothes.
Cady,
September is when fall/winter clothing is out… the likely hood of a dress in September being exactly what you want is slim.
I would purchase it now in 6-9 months size and keep the receipt. Ask what and how long the return policy is at this store.
Just my opinion.
