one by one, our silverware has been disappearing. we received four sets for our wedding (why, oh why can’t people buy off registries??), and a few months ago discovered we were down to three knives and three dinner forks. i wish i knew where they went. we didn’t even find them when we moved out of the apartment.
last night, i discovered we now are down to three tablespoons and three dessert forks. by some miracle, we still have four teaspoons. it is so strange how our silverware is disappearing. part of me wonders if aj is taking them from the drainboard, since he has been known to steal things in the past (i.e. my blush brush, joe’s razor). it’s a long shot because i don’t know how easy it would be for him to carry them (they’re nice and heavy), but it’s a theory.
thank goodness my mil is getting us silverware for our anniversary! have i mentioned how awesome my in-laws are??
Do you guys take silverware to work? That’s where mine usually gets lost. And then taken by another co-worker. It’s an endless cycle.
We are always missing things llike silverware and socks! I wonder who takes them!
that is so weird. our silverware drawer is overflowing, you can borrow some!
We have almost exactly the same problem: we DID have two full sets – we’ve managed to keep almost everything except teaspoons. We now have about three teaspoons total, and I have to watch them like a hawk to make sure they don’t vanish, too. So weird!

The case of the disappearing silverware. I have to say I have never heard that one before! I wonder where in the world it is!

We had the *same* phenomenon when we got married. We got some silverware for our wedding (off our registry), but one package was missing a few knives. We only had four knives for the longest time (which is a PITA sometimes!). My parents bought us new silverware a year or so ago, and it rocks. But it’s *so* heavy ~ it falls off our plates! LOL! 🙂 Wow ~ your first anniversary is coming *so* soon!

I tried to leave a comment on this post a few days ago, and it would not let me! So now, I will try to tell you that all of my tupperware type stuff started disappearing b/c I would take it to work and leave it there or in my car….and then suddenly I had none. Maybe it’s the same w/ your silver.
