yesterday was a busy, fun day. we spent most of our time at the mall. i can’t even remember the last time i went to the mall. i just never get down that way. it was great. and, i got a surprise present.
joe got me a new engagement ring. now, before you think that i am completely selfish, there is a story behind it, which i will tell you about in another post.
we had dinner at chilis and then came home to read the notes the women at my bridal shower put in my bridal pig and watch bridget jones’ diary 2, which is what we saw on our first date. we decided those will be our anniversary traditions.
today, we went to see joe’s parents and grandmother and had a nice lunch at olive garden. joe’s mom bought us a cake too, which was really sweet. what a great anniversary. i don’t know how joe will outdo it next year. 🙂
What’s the bridal pig tradition? It’s new to me, but sounds cool.

So, here it is a loneyl Saturday night. It’s two weeks before our wedding so we’re broker than a joke which is why we’re home rather than out (like normal people on weekends). Anyway, I remember how months and months ago you posted a pic of your beautiful ring. I sat here digging through old posts trying to find it (now that I have the password and all! 🙂 ) And I can ‘t find the story on why you get to be the lucky lady that gets TWO engagement rings! Did you ever post it? I have rings on the brain since I just got to go play and visit with the one I’m having built yesterday. I guess techinically I’m cool since this is technically my second ring but technically Rob always knew I wanted side stones so he technically got me a solitaire on purpose because technically he always knew I’d change it before we got married. I’d love to hear the story on why you’re technically cooler than the rest of us. 😉
