the annual bartow county fair is a gathering place for local rednecks and hispanics. but, we have fun at little county fairs, so we headed out to the american legion fairgrounds saturday night. we had a great time. we played some games and rode a few rides. i get sick on the rides that spin and twist and turn, so we went on the ferris wheel. i’m also scared of heights, so it took me a few minutes to get comfortable with being up that high.
we also rode the orient express, a kiddie rollercoaster. i am not a big fan of rollercoasters. in fact, i hate them. i’m petrified of falling off because when i was little i did almost fall off one. i just can’t get comfortable with them, but i thought this ride with its small hills would be fine. i was wrong. it was freaky for a kids ride! before you think i’m a total wimp, let me explain. since the hills were so small the rollercoaster couldn’t gain momentum, so there was a wheel near the start that gave the coaster a push. it also jerked us around. our heads hit the back of the seat every time we passed the start. the turns were very jerky too, making for a not-so-pleasant ride.
i’m definitely not ready to go to six flags anytime soon, but i did have a lot of fun at the fair.

You’re a champ just for going on the ferris wheel and the Orient Express. Love the top photo. You’re adorable.

Oh no! Jerky, head-whipping roller coasters are terrible no matter how big or small. But I’m glad you had fun at the fair anyway.
