Remember when I mentioned that I don’t have the best luck? Today was yet another example. I was so proud of myself for getting my Christmas shopping done early this year, and I was planning on spending tonight wrapping gifts to take to my parents’ house on Wednesday.
A few days ago, though, I started to worry when my dad’s gift hadn’t arrived. I bought him a replica of the Tennessee Titans stadium from SportsMagick, and I was super excited about giving it to him. Today, after yet another package-less mail delivery, I called the company. I was told that the post office typically delivers their packages within 3-5 business days and that they are very reliable.
It’s been 10 days since it allegedly shipped. I talked with two people at the post office — one here in town and one at a different location — and neither of them had any idea where my box is. They said that if it really had been delivered then it was mailed without tracking information because they said their system had no way to pull up any information on it.
I told the owner of the company that this was my dad’s Christmas present, and now he won’t have anything from me to open. She told me that she wouldn’t rush deliver another *nor* would she give me a refund. Nice.
So now I have one day to find another present for my dad. Any suggestions??
Oh, and by the way, our dryer started working again last night after we bought a new one on Friday. On the bright side, it’s been acting up for a while, so we’re taking this as a sign that it’s on its way out. Sigh.
Life wouldn’t be that interesting without bad luck. 🙂
My suggestion…contact your credit card company and have them take it off..and let them handle. That’s just ridiculous. Oh, and call the Better Business Bureau; that’s always worked for me. It won’t get the gift here by Christmas, but it’ll teach them a lesson.
I know how you feel…I have a UPS package that was delivered to the wrong address, and the person who accepted the package won’t give it back! Ba humbug.

omg they have to give you the money back if you didn’t get the box… I would do what the others said… but fight back…
What about getting your dad some other stuff with the titans logo on it… but I hope you have something for him… that just sucks… why are people so mean at Christmas time anyways lol…
Did it arrive yet? I’d give the post office some time right now. My mom mailed our Christmas package & they told her it would take no more than 5 days, but it ended up taking almost 10 business days. The post office is WAY behind at Christmas. Maybe there’s still hope it will arrive today!
@sugar & ice – i filed a complaint with the bbb and found that this company has 9 unresolved complaints, 5 of which are regarding this issue.
@shannon – there wasn’t enough time to order other titans memorabilia. i’ll just have to order this from a different company next year.
@liz – nope, didn’t arrive. i’m not expecting it to anyway. i googled this company and found a lot of people who never got their orders either.
