Because I get to cover awesome things like, oh, you know, a movie being filmed in the area.
That’s right. I spent a good bit of Wednesday tracking down the set of the movie “Neighborhood Watch” with Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn, which is being filmed in Powder Springs. I couldn’t get a hold of the unit publicist and no one locally had gotten back to me, so I used my journalistic skills and, after making a few phone calls and doing a few Internet searches, I was on scene of the set.
No one was allowed to go on-set, but I got pictures from as close as I could get. I wish I had had our DSLR with me, but I got word that they were shooting that day while I was in Paulding County working on another story. I still think it was pretty cool, though!

I’m definitely going to have to see this movie when it comes out! Also? My job is awesome.
