Lucy had a hard time going down for her nap today. It was her second nap in her big girl bed (a separate post about that transition coming up later), and while she wasn’t talking or fussing, I could hear noise coming from her room. When I went in to see what she was doing, I found her laying in bed hitting her comforter with her hands.
Then, she started to cry. I tried to calm her down and get her to go to sleep, and she said she wanted an applesauce pouch. I asked her if she would go to sleep if I gave her one, and she said yes.
I was a little hesitant, but I gave her the benefit of the doubt. I took her into the kitchen, gave her an applesauce pouch (the purple one, please) and turned down her requests to watch Barney. When she finished, I took the empty pouch from her and told her to go get in bed.
And, she did. She asked to look at her Barney book, and I told her she could but she had to go to sleep when she was finished. That was 2 1/2 hours ago, and I haven’t heard a peep since. I’m so proud of her for being so obedient.
