My hair has gotten super long, and I’m way overdue for a cut. But, since Covid-19 is still really bad here, I’m nervous to go to the salon. So, we tried a hair cut at home, and it turned out amazing!

This rubber band haircut is the perfect frugal hair cut at home. And, it’s super easy. I think it took us maybe 10 minutes for the initial cut and a little bit of trimming. All you need is a hairband and scissors!

First, put your hair in a low ponytail, and then pull your hairband to where you want your cut to be.

Then, cut below your hairband. That’s it! My husband made me swear I wouldn’t hold him responsible if he butchered my hair, but he did a great job.

After the initial cut, he did a bit of trimming and cleaning up, and that was it! I think it took all of 10 minutes.

I really loved how it turned out. It was a basic cut, but that’s all I needed. I definitely plan to do this again. It was super quick, easy and I didn’t have to leave the house. And, best of all – it’s super frugal!
