as most of you know, joe is working at my company’s new science museum. tellus: northwest georgia science museum is going to be amazing. it’s still under construction and won’t open until late fall i believe, but some of the exhibits are already starting to arrive. i’ve been over recently to see a replica of the apollo 1 capsule, a helicopter used during ww2 the korean war (thanks, joe!), and a cockpit of a plane that was one of the first for something. haha. you’d think i would remember, but i can’t.
anyway, it’s going to be very cool. but, the part i’m the most excited about is the planetarium. i love planetariums. i went a few times as a child, and i can’t wait to go when our museum opens. but, this is going to be cooler than your regular planetarium. there are going to be telescopes outside — i’m not sure if they will be celestron telescopes or another kind — and if people are looking at the sky through the telescopes that will be displayed in the planetarium. cool, right?
i seriously cannot wait for this museum to open. it’s going to be the only one of its kind anywhere in the north georgia/metro atlanta area. it’s going to rock.

It was a helicopter during the Korean War mostly… 🙂 but I’m looking forward to giving you a grand tour when we open! 🙂
My husband loves planetariums! Maybe we’ll have to visit one day.
