We’ve been trying to work with Lucy on learning how to use a fork/spoon, but she’s got the the whole “why would I do it when you can do it for me?” attitude going on. And, after a few unsuccessful tries, we’d go ahead and feed her ourselves.

Today, I thought I’d give it another go. She knows how to hold the spoon, so instead of having her hold it with me while I put food on it (which really pisses her off for some reason), I put food on it and handed it to her. This is what she did:

Yes, that’s my baby girl FEEDING herself! Like she does it all the time. I cheered and told her what a BIG girl she is, and she clapped and smiled. Because she’s awesome. Now, we just have to fine tune her skills with putting food onto her spoon herself. Baby steps.
